A New Adventure

I have an announcement to make. I have decided to embark on a new adventure, and I accepted another job offer at another company. Although I will no longer be working in fashion, I will now be able to focus all of my energy on my passion – marketing and social media.

I am so proud of all that I have learned and achieved at American Threads in the past year and a half. It’s never easy to leave an important role (I was the Marketing and eCommerce Manager and also a Store Manager), especially when it was your first job out of college. But I am so excited to see where this new job will take me and what I can achieve for my new company.

You probably don’t hear this very often – but I’ve been looking forward to working in a cubicle my whole life. When I would visit my dad at work as a child, I thought offices were just the coolest thing on the planet. And I knew one day a tiny cubicle could turn into a penthouse office with a skyline view – still waiting on that one.

With a new job also comes a new wardrobe – I’m now going to be wearing business clothes to work every day! And I’m also really excited about that. Although I feel a little funny wearing suits, at the same time there is something so empowering about putting on a blazer and heels in the morning. Hence why I recently tweeted about opening a J.Crew credit card. I’ve been stocking up on dress pants and tops and am so excited to share my work appropriate, yet cute business outfits.

I start my new job a week from today. I’m excited, nervous, and incredibly blessed to have this opportunity. Thank you all for the well wishes and encouragement! Updates (like photos of my desk and outfits!) to come. 🙂
