Fall and Winter Fashion Essentials
It’s finally fall and almost winter – that means it’s time to start stocking up on your fall and winter fashion essentials! Flip over those closets (if you haven’t already, I was ready in August!) and break out the layers because it’s about to get chilly! So what does your wardrobe require this year?
A Cozy Coat: I’m all about warmth during the colder months, but that doesn’t mean I sacrifice style! Peacoats, anoraks and puffy jackets are in year after year so you will have a variety of styles to choose from.
A Festive Vest: Layers are all the rage as usual. Layer your vest with a chambray shirt for the warmer days and a chunky sweater on the frigid days. Casual or dressy, the vest can be worn with everything.
Hats for your Bedhead: I told y’all in this fall hat post, you need a great hat this year! I like to switch up my hat game with a chunky or floppy beanie because, let’s be honest, there’s no easier way to look cool with hair accessories.
Basic Boots: Gotta keep those ankles and calves warm! They complete any look. Throw them over your leggings but don’t forget the boot socks.
Super Oversized Sweaters: Talk about cozy. It’s the only acceptable way to feel like you’re wrapped in your blanket cocoon in public. And no, you can’t wear your snuggie to the mall.
Flannels For Days: By now we’ve all been wearing our flannels since the moment the weather was tempted to dip below 75. Am I right? Wear them open with a graphic tee, or button them up under a vest. Either way, you need at least 50. Bonus points for men’s or from a thrift store – double bonus points for both.
