Summer Reading List
I love to read — especially in the summer! It makes laying out in the sun go by just a little bit quicker. Plus, I’ve been reading on the treadmill and elliptical lately and it helps to try to keep up with something distracting… So what’s on my summer reading list for 2015?
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen: I’m halfway through this book so far and it’s been great to distract me on my cardio days! I suggest it.
Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult: This is a sister-recommended books. “If you like elephants. And you’ll never guess how it ends.”
Leave Your Mark by Aliza Licht: This book has been popping up all over social media lately, kind of like last year’s #girlboss. It’s no surprise I’m kind of obsessed with social media, so this seems like a great book for me and an easy beach read.
All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven: I love to read books before I see them in theaters. I also really liked The Fault in our Stars so I’ve been recommended this book based on that.
Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins: If you haven’t heard of this book, you probably aren’t on social media. I’m taking a break from suspense/thriller/mystery/crime books right now, but this is definitely on the list for later in the summer.
The Status of All Things by Liz Fenton, Lisa Steinke: It’s about social media again. I can’t get away from it!
What are you reading this summer? Send me your suggestions or friend me on Goodreads!
Alright, so even if you’re taking a break, you HAVE to read Girl on the Train and then we can talk about it. Not as good as Gone Girl, but still really well done! I have Leave Your Mark if you want to borrow…I have lukewarm feelings about it…more on the chilly side than warm side. I can see how it would be very helpful for women in college/freshly graduated. And finally, you have to add Paper Towns to your list. The movie is coming out soon! It’s another John Green book (he wrote Fault in Our Stars), but it reminded me more of Eleanor and Park than Fault…and if you haven’t read Eleanor and Park, do it fast! Have fun this weekend!
I have it on Audible! I’ll start it right when I finish my current book!
I just finished Saint Anything and loved it. This summer I am trying to tackle the pile of books I have gotten but never read. First up is #girlboss.
I really wanna read Leave your Mark and the Girl on the Train!! I’m going to try to tackle the Game of Thrones series this summer! Let me know what you think of them!
