If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you definitely know by know, but I traveled for a girls trip to Charleston the last weekend of June for this year’s SBSCon. Although I’ve been in the Southern Blog Society for about a year and a half, I didn’t attend last year (which was home in Atlanta), but I knew I had to attend in Charleston!
The weekend was super fun exploring Charleston with Cynthia, Monique and Luisa. I had a great time getting to know these friends of mine better! Charleston is pretty magical — I love the shops, the food and the historical architecture — and I would absolutely move there. Or at least go back next weekend. 🙂
The conference also made it easy to meet some other bloggers who I may not be able to ever see in person, but always talk to via social media. That’s the best thing about conferences — networking. Opening night was a rooftop mingle party and since it was the first night most people had arrived, it was fun and exciting as we were all ready to get the conference started.
Saturday was the conference which included breakfast at the amazing hotel (The Belmond), then a full morning of informational sessions (like how to file taxes, how to better design your blog, etc.), then onto the amazing gifting suite. This was the exciting part, where we walked around table-to-table getting to know various brands and checking out their lines and services. Kendra Scott brought a sneak peek of their all new fall line, Dress Up had some super cute clothes and My Kind of Lovely brought amazing cookies (with their cute clothes and photobooth!) so a great time was had by all. Not to mention the swag bag was out-of-control amazing.

Be looking forward to some fun collaborations I’ve got in the works and to see my review of some of the awesome swag bag gifts! If you’re thinking about joining Southern Blog Society, I suggest you do it! It’s been an awesome way to meet other local bloggers and get the opportunity to work with some great brands.
