Urban Tree Cidery Atlanta

I’ll start this out by saying: I. Love. Cider. I hate beer. Wine doesn’t taste like grape juice. Vodka is straight up nail polish remover. But, cider tastes like apple juice. It’s sweet and champagne-y and just delicious. So when I found out a new cidery was opening in Atlanta, I was way too excited. When I got to attend a media preview of Urban Tree Cidery, I was even more excited. This place is awesome!

If you like breweries, you’ll like Urban Tree. They offer tastings, tours and all-around good times. With at least 4-5 original ciders on tap, plus a fully stocked bar with local beers and cocktails, there is literally a drink for everyone. Seriously! I saw orange soda and root beer in the cooler. All of their cocktails are carefully crafted with local spirits from makers right here in Georgia. Drink local.

The space, located on the Westside, is super cool and I can’t wait to host an event here. Have a couples bridal shower coming up? This is the perfect space. Maybe you want to host a relaxed birthday party. Yep, this is perfect too. The old storefront has a garage door that will open to enjoy warmer weather plus a fun patio and plenty of space indoors for gathering, games or drinking from your growler. The decor is top notch and really looks incredibly put together.

We had a little tasting plus a tour of the back cidery room complete with a rundown on how cider is made, drank straight from a barrel, and learned all about the different types of apples, orchards and techniques. This really opened my eyes to the process of creating the actual cider! Super interesting and fun to see behind the scenes.

I highly suggest you stop by for a taste of their Classic Cider (the best straight up cider I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried a lot) or if you’re feeling adventurous, the Habanero Ginger! If you like ginger juices, you’ll love this. It’s not too spicy and has an awesome bite and flavor.

Urban Tree Cidery opens this Saturday for their grand opening party! Definitely swing by if you’re in the area for a quick cider drink or an all day hang. The weather is supposed to be amazing. Thank you Urban Tree Cidery for having me!
