Healthy Sweet Tea?

I think it’s fairly commonly known that I’m (pretty much constantly) on a diet right now. My vices? Comfort food and sweets, both of which are Southern staples. When I’m keeping away from sugar in the form of chocolate or brownies, I almost always crave a big, tall, cool glass of southern sweet tea (but I prefer styrofoam, anyone else?). So of course, now that I’m getting serious about eating better, I’ve gotta make sacrifices and just cut out the sweet stuff completely, right? Wrong! I’d like you to meet my newest obsession: Southern Breeze Sweet Tea.

Why do I love it so? It’s guilt-free, meaning it has zero calories… zero! And the taste. It tastes just like my favorite Atlanta restaurant’s sweet tea. Refreshing, sweet and classic. If you’re into more of the flavored teas, they even have raspberry, peach and lemon. I do love a good raspberry tea every once in awhile. They really got the flavor down, probably because the tea is packed here in Marietta, GA.

Now, my whole family is from Michigan so I didn’t even know what sweet tea was until I was in middle school probably. That being said, I have literally never made sweet tea at home. I’ve heard you have to do some kind of voodoo magic and, like, set out the pitcher in the sun and all this weird stuff. (Am I right?) I was a bit taken aback when it took me all of 5 minutes of effort to boil the water and drop the Southern Breeze teabag in. No adding sugar, no sun ray recipes, just one or two teabags full of real tea leaves and some hot, hot water!

If you love sweet tea, I highly suggest trying out Southern Breeze, even if you’re not dieting! This stuff tastes as good as the “real” thing but you’ll be saving calories for more yummy things like fried chicken, collard greens, and buffalo chicken dip. You can find Southern Breeze Sweet Tea at your local Walmart.

I was compensated for this post, however, all opinions and my love of sweet tea are, as always, my own and 100% truthful. Southern sweet tea for the win, for all time.
