Thank God for the athleisure trend. If it was honorable to wear leggings to work every single day, I wouldn’t think twice. So instead, I try to keep it to 1 work day and spend my weekend in the good stuff. Good leggings are hard to come by, despite most brands jumping on that trendy legging bandwagon. Keep reading for my favorite athleisure brands to take you straight from barre to the bar.
Old Navy: Old Navy is where I find some of my favorite basics like tees, jackets, pullovers and leggings. Their highwaisted leggings are amazing and so comfortable. I also really enjoy their shorts and some of their sports bras, but I mostly stick to basic, neutral colors rather than their prints. They always have good deals, so scoop up some pieces when they’re 40% off!
Fabletics: I’ve been buying from Fabletics since they were introduced (my sister told me about them when she was in college) and they are hands down my absolutely favorite leggings (the Salar leggings and capris). Kate Hudson is the face of this brand so you know it’s super cool. They have very unique pieces that focus heavily on being wearable at both yoga and for social events. Plus, right now you can get 2 pairs of leggings for only $24! They also have great tanks and tops, but I’m telling you their leggings are the bomb.
Victoria’s Secret: I don’t have a ton of items from Victoria’s Secret just because I don’t shop their often as it is. However, my mom got me a pair of leggings for Christmas that are amazing. They have the convenient side pocket, they’re royal blue and they have mesh paneling which I’m loving right now. I will say that these pants I’m wearing above show all the sweat and are a bit see-thru, so probably best saved for non-working out days (aka weekend shopping). Their sports bras are also very supportive for large chested ladies!
Lululemon: It wouldn’t be a true athleisure post without a mention of Lulu, am I right? They just do it so well. I’ll be honest, I only buy their clothes on sale, but there’s no shame in that. I love pretty much every single style at Lulu: shorts, leggings, tanks, jackets especially, and accessories. I will say that their sports bras run a little small, so I don’t have many of those. Lulu is such a well-loved brand that it’s a 100% no-brainer brunch outfit, but they also perform just as well in the gym too!
